개인정보처리방침
TxtSays는 문서 내용을 서버에 보관하지 않는 브라우저 중심 구조로 운영됩니다. 아래에는 서비스가 실제로 처리하는 정보와 사용자가 통제하는 방법을 설명합니다.

1. 적용 범위 / Scope
이 방침은 txtsays.com에서 제공하는 PDF·TXT 텍스트 추출, 음성 읽기, 읽기 위치 저장, 한·영 단어 뜻 찾기 기능에 적용됩니다. TxtSays에는 계정 가입 기능이나 자체 서버에 문서를 업로드하는 기능이 없습니다.
This policy applies to PDF and TXT extraction, text-to-speech playback, saved reading positions, and Korean–English word lookup on txtsays.com. TxtSays has no user accounts and does not provide a document-upload service to its own servers.

Document text stays in browser memory and is not sent to or stored by TxtSays. A content-derived identifier and the last reading position are stored in localStorage; interface language choices use localStorage or sessionStorage. Sanitized diagnostic events remain in memory and are shared only if the user deliberately copies and sends them.
3. 접속 정보와 국가 신호 / Connection data and region signal
웹사이트에 접속하면 호스팅·CDN·보안 제공자가 일반적인 웹 요청 정보(예: IP 주소, 요청 URL, 브라우저 정보, 요청 시각)를 서비스 제공, 장애 대응, 보안 및 악용 방지를 위해 처리할 수 있습니다. 첫 방문의 화면 언어를 정할 때 /api/region은 CDN이 이미 알고 있는 두 글자 국가 코드만 일시적으로 반환하며, TxtSays는 이 응답을 서버 데이터베이스에 저장하지 않습니다. 보안 제공자는 악성 자동 요청을 구분하기 위해 __cf_bm 같은 필수 보안 쿠키를 설정할 수 있습니다.
Hosting, CDN, and security providers may process ordinary request data such as IP address, requested URL, browser information, and timestamps to deliver and protect the site. The /api/regionendpoint temporarily returns only the two-letter country code already available at the CDN so the first interface language can be selected; TxtSays does not store that response in a server database. Security providers may set essential cookies such as __cf_bm to distinguish malicious automated traffic.
4. 음성·사전·기기 번역 / Speech, dictionary, and on-device translation
- 음성 재생은 브라우저의 Web Speech API와 운영체제 또는 브라우저가 제공하는 음성을 사용합니다. 선택한 음성의 구현 방식에 따라 읽을 문장이 기기 또는 음성 제공자에 의해 처리될 수 있으며, TxtSays는 그 문장을 수신하지 않습니다.
- 앱 내 사전은 첫 글자나 초성별 정적 데이터 조각을 txtsays.com에서 내려받은 뒤 정확한 단어 검색을 브라우저에서 수행합니다.
- 사용자가 명시적으로 선택한 경우에만 지원되는 Chrome의 Translator API를 호출합니다. TxtSays는 별도 번역 서버로 검색어를 보내지 않지만, 언어팩 다운로드와 브라우저 기능의 데이터 처리는 해당 브라우저 제공자의 정책을 따릅니다.
Speech playback uses the browser Web Speech API and voices supplied by the browser or operating system. Processing can vary by voice provider, but TxtSays does not receive the spoken document text. Dictionary shards are downloaded from this site and exact matching happens in the browser. Chrome's Translator API is invoked only after an explicit user action; TxtSays does not call a separate translation server, while language-pack delivery and browser-level processing remain subject to the browser provider's policies.
5. Google AdSense와 쿠키 / Google AdSense and cookies
TxtSays는 사이트 검토 및 광고 제공을 위해 Google AdSense 코드를 사용할 수 있습니다. Google을 포함한 제3자는 광고로 인해 브라우저에 쿠키를 삽입하거나 기존 쿠키를 읽을 수 있고, 웹 비콘으로 정보를 수집할 수 있습니다. 이 과정에서 현재 페이지 URL, IP 주소, 기기·브라우저 정보, 광고 상호작용 정보가 광고 제공, 측정, 맞춤설정, 사기 방지 목적으로 처리될 수 있습니다.
TxtSays may use Google AdSense code for site review and ad delivery. Third parties, including Google, may place or read cookies in the browser and collect information through web beacons. The page URL, IP address, device and browser information, and ad interactions may be processed for ad delivery, measurement, personalization, and fraud prevention.

6. 보관 기간과 사용자의 선택 / Retention and your choices
TxtSays 자체 데이터베이스에는 계정, 문서 또는 읽기 위치가 저장되지 않습니다. 브라우저에 남은 읽기 위치와 언어 설정은 브라우저 설정에서 txtsays.com의 사이트 데이터 또는 로컬 저장소를 삭제하면 제거됩니다. 광고 쿠키는 브라우저의 쿠키 설정과 Google 광고 설정에서 관리할 수 있습니다. 호스팅·광고 제공자가 보유한 정보의 보관 기간은 각 제공자의 정책을 따릅니다.
TxtSays does not keep accounts, documents, or reading positions in its own database. Delete site data for txtsays.com in your browser to remove locally saved positions and language settings. Advertising cookies can be managed through browser controls and Google Ad Settings. Retention by hosting and ad providers is governed by their respective policies.
